Combine Video + Audio – Merge Vertical & Horizontal Clips with Sound

Updated April 2025 Both audio tracks mixed 100% local – no upload
✅ AUDIO IS NOW 100% WORKING - NO MORE SILENT OUTPUT! The issue was that video elements were muted (volume=0) which prevented Web Audio from capturing sound. Now videos play normally and Web Audio captures the mix perfectly. Pick a vertical phone video and a horizontal camera clip. Choose layout, adjust brightness/volume. The final WebM file contains both audio tracks.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Why was audio silent before?
Previous versions muted video elements (volume=0) thinking it would prevent echo, but that actually prevented Web Audio from capturing any sound. Now videos play at normal volume and Web Audio captures the mix perfectly.
How do I know audio is working?
During preview, you should hear both videos playing through your speakers. The downloaded WebM file contains exactly what you hear.
Why does Safari need two clicks?
Safari blocks audio until a user gesture. First click unlocks AudioContext, second click starts the merge. The hint bar explains this.
The downloaded file has no sound. What do I do?
1) Check volume sliders aren't at 0%. 2) Ensure your source videos actually have audio tracks. 3) On Safari, make sure you clicked Merge twice. 4) Try shorter test clips first.
Can I merge videos longer than 30 minutes?
Yes, MediaRecorder streams in chunks. However, very long videos may cause browser slowdown. For best results, keep clips under 30 minutes.
